100% Cotton Sateen

1. Machine Wash Cold: Wash your cotton sateen sheets in cold water. Hot water can cause shrinking and fading of the fabric.
2. Gentle Cycle: Use a gentle cycle setting on your washing machine to prevent excessive agitation, which can damage the fabric.
3. Mild Detergent: Use a mild detergent that is specifically designed for delicate fabrics. Avoid using bleach or harsh chemicals as they can weaken the fibers and affect the color.
4. Avoid Overloading: Do not overload the washing machine with too many sheets at once. This can lead to inadequate cleaning and increased friction between the sheets, causing damage.
5. Tumble Dry Low: After washing, tumble dry the sheets on a low heat setting. High heat can cause shrinkage and damage the fabric. Remove the sheets promptly from the dryer to prevent wrinkles.
6. Ironing: If desired, iron the sheets on a low heat setting while they are still slightly damp. This will help to smooth out any wrinkles and creases. Alternatively, you can iron the sheets on a higher heat setting if necessary, but be cautious not to scorch the fabric.
7. Storage: Store your cotton sateen sheets in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid storing them in plastic bags or containers, as this can trap moisture and lead to mildew growth.
8. Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Keep your cotton sateen sheets away from harsh chemicals, such as chlorine bleach, as they can weaken the fabric and cause it to deteriorate over time.
9. Regular Washing: To maintain the quality and longevity of your cotton sateen sheets, wash them regularly, especially if they are used frequently. This helps to remove body oils, sweat, and other residues that can accumulate on the fabric.
